I am dedicating this page to the lovely people I saw, photographed and met while driving to Nashik.

What a drive and packages of  experiences. Imagine 3 Chapters on a 200 km plus drive, is it not Magic?

The diversity in attire , mannerisms and eating habits is incredibly diverse in this vast country. I share the people with you on this magical drive .

I had never seen Milk Cans coloured in   bright Orange. While for many in other countries the dexterity of carrying these cans on a motorcycle on a highway would itself be an eye catcher.

A farmyard with a goat tethered to a tree caught my eye as we zipped by. “They have left me alone  to guard the tractor.”

A local   election enabled me to capture this image of the man in his  traditional attire , the dhoti . Imagine, it was all happening along the highway .

In order to get a whiff of the local cuisine it is mandatory to stop at  a small roadside dhabha when you travel by road. This lovely standalone CAFE was manged by versatile  Vaishali.

TURNAROUND: Spicey ideas in mid air

I had been reading horrendous stories ( till 2014)  about cancellation of flights of Spice Jet  and how the airline was on the verge of closure. I thought oh no, another closure after Kingfisher.

Do note the logo above Spicejet: SUN. The seats marked orange are really very comfortable with lots of leg space.

The last two months had me flying SpiceJet for the sole reason of getting the best deals ( read cheapest) on both trips.

I was pleasantly surprised. The Hyderabad- Delhi sector had  these sparkling new aircraft ,wet leased ( yes the crew is Czech too)  from CZECH airlines.

The aircraft had drop down TV screens which show the location of your aircraft on a map.

Is it Czech... no its Spice Jet

Things have been changing in the air. Spicejet is on time, new aircraft which  are  sparkling .The Sun has set and somethings brew in the air.

Things still to be improved are the menu , which is really boring.Bland and without any spice.

The article on wildlife written by a realtor in the Inflight magazine would make my English teacher squirm  in his grave.

Getting to the end of the Tail, the bombardiers are great for short hauls like the one I was on,  Hyderabad-Tirupati.

Good job , Spicejet. I see a new SUN rising. Blue skies may turn Red.

A 3500 year old city ,the Ganges and Dolphins

Kashi, Benaras and Varanasi can hardly be captured in a 500 worded blog.

Nor can the faith and belief of millions be logically explained. It took me 5 trips and 20 years before i could even feel ( let alone see)  this mystical city.

The faith remains but the dolphins are rare to see.

At the outset I simply leave with you images.
